I recently bought a a205-s5812 for my girlfriend and she had a hard time with vista so i downgraded it to XP. Now for some reason when she wants to play a DVD it plays sound but has no picture. Except it will show a menu page and let you select Play, Special Features and so on. All her drivers are up to date and this happens with every different DVD player i have tried. I have also tried a few different codec packs and replaceing her mpg2 codec. Any help would be great. I really don't want to have to hear her complain about this any more.

I had a similar problem with my P200-RT9. I installed the newest driver from ATI and it is fine now.

Have you tried the K-Lite codec pack?
