    Fellow Notebook buyers,
I recently purchased the model X205 SLi1. When I am running games on it Crysis,The Witcher.. it gives me error in the middle of the game saying the driver isn't responding. I even installed drivers from laptopvideo2go and the same problem persist. is it a hardware problem? do i have a defective laptop?

Sounds like your game setting are to high try Crysis in dx9 medium settings this game is tough to run on any pc, sounds like your gpu is crashing, also go to http://www.nzone.com/page/home.html and install the hotfixs at the bottom of the page. Witcher has a patch that came out yesterday. Which driver are you using? I use the 169.09 and Crysis runs great dx9 with a mixture of med/high settings. :)

Hit the link above, then go to the lower part of the page and click "download Vista Hotfix", there are 5, try to install each, if you don't need one, the download page will tell you that, i think I only needed 3. ;) the 940105 hotfix is particularly important for Crysis.

I never had any problems, except 1 the Dvd player completely disappears, maybe once every 15 starts, but I fixed that with this fix, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929461/en-us ,you should use this one also, But all i ever did was the 169.09 driver, hotfixes, udated Vista, and the Vista tweaks shown in the OS section of this forum (should be the first post) and every thing works well. Later on I installed 4gb of ram and have a 250gb harddrive waiting to be installed.

looks like it varies from machine to machine. I am going to do a recoveryand try again. if it persists i will install XP instead
