    Hello everyone,

Im thinkng to buy the tecra a8 130:
    http://www.notebooksbilliger.de/pro...ionen/tecrareihe/toshiba_tecra_a8130_00v008gr
(the site is in german but it shouldnt be a problem to understand what does this lappy have.)

but i want to ask if anyone had some experience with this lappy? i tried to find any review or comment on it but no luck.

im a student in the field applied physics, so i need a portable, stable, fast machine, which has good connectivity.

    thanks dagmar

I can't read German, but just by guessing, I think this laptop has an integrated GPU - not good for CAD, Maya, and other engineering/graphics programs you might be using in your field. I would look at a notebook that has a dedicated graphics card, particularly an Nvidia Quatro card, which is designed for running engineering, graphics and professional programs that may be required in college.

    hey thanks.
you are right the GPU is intergrated:
    manufacturer : IntelĀ®
    type : 945GM Express chipset
memory amount : up to 128 MB
memory type : DDR2 RAM (UMA).

finding the right laptop fitting my budget ist very hard job :(

Hey, no problem - I would try posting in the "What Should I Buy" forum and see if we can find anything in your price range that meets your needs.
