    audio problem on satellite

    i have the satellite series laptop and for some reason whenever i put the laptop to sleep and bring it back up i lose audio until i restart the computer.... does anyone else get this problem?

    What Satellite model do you have and what OS are you running?

    After you wake the laptop up from sleep, right click on the Sound icon and hit Playback devices. Then, click on the Recording devices tab and your sound magically comes back. I believe that this problem has been resolved by a newer audio driver. If you have a Core 2 Duo/Santa Rosa based Satellite with the Realtek audio chip then you should be able to use these:

    I will check real quick to see if they actually solved the issue.

    EDIT: The issue has been resolved in the newest driver release, so just install it and your sound will work fine after standby.
