    battery plug in, but not charging after installing Vista Service Pack 2

    My Satellite A-100 using windows vista, after install the service pack 2, experiencing that battery is not charging anymore, the message : battery plug in, not charging. Indicator light is off. Anyone experience the same problem ?? and please advise how to solve it.

    i have the same problem for a while now. I don't know if its from Service Pack 2, but my battery stopped charging too. I'd love to know what the solution is cause my warranty is done....

    my notebook's battery is still in good condition, I tried it on other notebook, still working fine. And also I have tried to uninstall the ACPI and reinstalled, no impact at all. I'm thinking to uninstall the SP2. Anyone try this before ? what's the risk of uninstalling Vista SP2 ??

    If you want to uninstall Sp2, why not just re-install Vista new?
