Hi Run1track,
I have no concern about the cost. I need it to be top of the line because I will use it in many applications: MM, photoshop, and many other CPU intensive apps. I aslo would like it to have all teatures possible including DVD R/W, built-in Wirless, etc. I prefer to have Toshiba with the latest processor.

I would strongly suggest you take other brands into consideration. However, here is the best toshiba i could find for you:

If you're looking for pure raw processing power, you'll want to get a P4 notebook. This will not provide a lot of mobility, but because this is a desktop replacement, I guess it wouldn't really matter. I did have one question though, will this notebook be used in Saudi Arabia? The reason why I ask, is because I remember a user who posted that their unit (P4 based, don't know if it was Toshiba) when used in, I believe it was Saudi Arabia, didn't last too long in the heat. It kept overheating and required repairs/replacement. (I appologize for stereotyping the weather conditions in Saudia Arabia, I don't mean any disrespect, just want to make sure you get the right unit). If the location where the notebook will be used is cool, then it should be fine. If not, getting a Pentium M notebook may be prefered because it runs cooler.
System Recommendations:
Toshiba P20/P25
HP ZX5000
HP ZD7000
HP ZD7260us (New, uses Pentium M CPU rather than P4)
Sony A Series (Uses Pentium M CPU's)
Dell 9100/XPS

Hi VB
Thanks for your recommendations. I would like to comment on your posted reply regarding the weather with tow comments: first, commenting about living in hot climate doesnt mean disrespect in any way, so no need to apologize. Secondly let me take this chance to tell you about some facts about Saudi Arabia that will change the desert stereotype (I hope). Saudi Arabia occupies 2.4 million K.M. in space and there are a varity of landscapes; one good example is the Alhigajz mountains, which extends north to south in approximately 2000 KM. and it rises in some places up to 9000 feet above see level. Other places where it gets real hot in summer, the out side temperature doesnt exceeds 45C (113F), something near summer temperature in Taxes. Nonetheless, people who live in hot weather climates, use their Notebooks either in offices or homes.
Regarding the notebook, I am looking for some thing that can withstand real heavey work. Some times I edit documents with a lot of imbeded large images and it gets to a point that browsing up or down takes very long time. I am currently using hp omnibook 6100 (P III with 256 Ram).
Cheers.

Homound,
Thank you for educating me on Saudi Arabia.
Regarding the notebook, I guess any P4 based notebook should be fine for your needs. You may also want to look at a Pentium M notebook as well. Another user on this site posted this excellent link that compares the P4, AMD64, Pentium M (Banias & Dothan) & the Celeron M CPU's. It showed that when running Business apps (which you will be doing), all the Pentium M models tested beat an Intel P4 3.2Ghz CPU. This is definitely an eye-opener. But if office apps will not be the only thing you will be doing, and want overall pure processing power, than you may even want to consider an AMD64 CPU. That was the only CPU to beat out the rest of the CPU's in almost all the tests.
Units with the AMD 64 CPU's:
eMachines M68xx Series
Acer Ferrari 3200
Compaq R3000 Series (Good CPU, but poor video card, Some models have P4 CPU's)
Correction: The HP ZD7260us I listed before doesn't have an Intel Pentium M CPU. HP posted incorrect info on their site.

I for one feel disrespected.

Homoud,
Regarding the CPU's, I have a link here that does a good comparison between P4, AMD64, Pentium M (Banias & Dothan) & Celeron M. It was posted by Underpantman or Freeman. It contains a lot of info that will open your eyes on how well & how poor the processors perform. I know it opened my eyes when I saw the comparisons side by side.

Most systems will come with WiFi & USB 2.0, but if you want a DVD burner, I'd suggest going for a +/- media supported burner. In that case, it would removed HP from the lineup. Their drives are only + media supported.

No I was being sarcastic, I just found humor out of Homoud getting so defensive when you were making a polite suggestion about the effects on a system in heat. i live in michigan and if i was asking an opinion from somebody who lived in Texas about cars, i wouldnt feel offended if that person were to say "I have heard cars rust out in those states where you get snow." I just found it a bit ridiculous that somebody could get upset over that. But thats my opinion not yours, so no hard feelings and I'll try not to start any more conflicts.
sorry.
