    bios 1.50-win

    hi, i searched for updates for my toshiba satellite a210 and found bios ver.1.50-WIN which was published on 12.02.2008 according to toshiba website, i downloaded it but cant install it, it says something like i ve got the same version. ive got ver.1.50 and i want to ask if ver.1.50-WIN fixes some problems, if so, why i can not install it, thanx

    They usually give you the fixes description on the download page. If its saying that more than likely you have that version already are using it. if you use the flash utility it will provide you with version number. I think that the release date is a typo.

    It was released 2 months ago. Just not posted until a few days ago. If you bought it within the last 2 months, you might already have the new version.

    I've found toshiba doesn't tend to signify new versions with -***. Usually it is V1.3, V1.5, ect.

    If you've got V1.5 you're probably all set. Check the site in a few months incase it was just an installer problem.

    yeap, i bought it just two weeks ago so it might be in, i just thought that its something different because of that WIN at the end

    I just updated my bios from 1.30 to 1.50 with no problems. yay! The release notes do not say what are the improvements on this new bios. Anyone knows what they are or know where I can find them?

    Well no in fact they aren't. This link you are talking about only contains the instructions to update the bios.

    well yes in fact they are. Description section. Usually says change history.

    I am trying to just look it up and tell you, but I can't seem to find v1.5 download site anymore...This is the one for 1.3.

    call me blind but i can not see any of instruction included with bios 1.50-WIN version at toshiba website... when i check my bios version it says 1.50, dont know why there is that WIN written, what does it mean?

    I was looking for the v1.5 site to help the previous poster find the updates list in the new BIOS, but all I can find for the a210 models is v1.3 now...

    Toss me a link?

    mmmh well if u ever find out the infos for 1.5, I would be glad to have them! I'm looking for them because my laptop had a freeze issue right after it came back from standby mode. see topic

    This issue seems to have been resolve with bios 1.5 because it have not freezed yet since I updated.

    A few days ago when I looked up the v1.5 site to check out what the first poster said it did include the update list. I read them, but just briefly. I can't remember if that was one of them. Now the v1.5 vanished from the download list. If you can find it toss me a link to v1.5I'll post the updates for you here.
