    bios password?

    Hello!

    My father's Toshiba satellite A305-S6898 won't boot properly; after I pres the on button, "Toshiba leading innovation>>" is displayed, then black screen, blue box, white text "Enter Current Password:"

    No one ever set a bio password. three attempts are given, then the computer shuts off.

    Repeatedly pressing F2, F6, F8 or F12 do nothing.

    Can I bypass or clear the bios password myself.is the CMOS battery involved at all ( my dad always had it on a/c current,b with the battery removed.
