    brightness buttons doing opposite commands

    ok i just got my laptop back from toshiba repair and switched it on and i thought
    its a dark . no problem use function key + F7 to brighten it but nothing happened . so i press function key +F6 and it brightens it .

    f7 should make it brighter F6 make it darker but the both doing the opposite .
    i dont really want to send it back again so anyone know what could be wrong here .
    the repair they did was on the display and heatsink clean .

    its a toshiba a210-11p

    help appreciated

    Right click the battery icon in the taskbar, select Power Mobility Center and there is a brightness control there if you are using Vista.

    If you are using Xp, goto Toshiba Power Saver

    i can change the brightness but the buttons are not doing what they should.
    im asking if there is a way to get the buttons to original f6 = down f7= up

    You could try remapping them.
