I hear that the satellite is no longer what it used to be...like 5-7 years ago...
Can anyone tell me what exactly does that mean. They still use the best (in my opinion) hard drives on the market, Fujitsu, Toshiba, and Hitachi...so it isn't there.....
    Please help me here...thanks

I have had two Satellites which have served my well. With exception to a recent issue that may indicate my 2 year old Satellite is near death.

I think when people say that they either:

    1) Want to pretend they know what they are talking about.

    or

    2) Are misrepresenting the Satellite in comparison to other laptops. The Satellite line has been around for a long time. Toshiba has been selling these laptops longer than many other current manufacturers. So at one point they were exceptional. However now they are pretty average due to other companies in the industry making comparable computers.
