Hi guys i took a friends laptop to repair the dc jack as it out and to be honest looks like he shoved a screwdriver in there to see if he could fix himself  I have taken the laptop apart to see whether its a cabled jack or soldered to the board and it is one with a cable and connection to motherboard. The last laptop i done this job on just had a wire with connection to mobo and other end dc jack which was straight forward and easy to find the part but problem with this one is there is an extra wire with a little flat round washer attached that screws to the mobo (an earth or something possibly?) problem is all the wires are broken off the jack and im not sure which goes where. Picture is not great sorry. Oh ya sorry its a toshiba satellite t110-11v netbook. I want to just order a new cable and jack but cant seem to find one im in ireland any help guys much appreciated

Any help guys heres another pic i got off the net very similar but does not have the wire in the middle with the earth thing on it. Can anyone even tell me what the wire with the washer type thing on it is and does it have to be connected or could i just look for a jack that does not have one of these
