God **** starting from last sunday has been ones of the sh*tiest days of my life. first My car was stolen and its gone for good, and now I found worse problem on the laptop. so I opend up the laptop again, and checked the processor, I noticed it wasn't plugged in right, so I took it out and saw one pin bent off, I tried to straighten it but it broke off .
Anyway I read somewhere that someone took a pin from his old unused processor and put the pin in the hole (i dont know what its called but its the hole where the broken pin goes into) and wholaa he says the PC is working back fine, without any problem. do you guys think its possible ? if it is, i might give it a try..
I have this nub question guys, is processor for laptop the same as for dekstop processor ? If I have to replace the processor, how much would an intel celeron 2.6GHz processor cost ? If anyone know where to find it @ the best price please let me know. I gotta get my bro laptop fixed soon (toshiba A45-S120), i just can't stand the mad face on his face lol. sorry for sharing the bad news guys, i just feel ahh. u know. thanks again

PS= dont ask me about the car, coz Im now in a country that when u got ur car stolen mean its gone for good..

Hi, I think you have to replace the CPU. Chances that it will work if you just insert the pin back into the hole are very, very small. Even if it will work (I do not believe so), you'll get problems later. Try to find a replacement on eBay. Sometimes you can get very good deals. Try to find a laptop with busted screen, but good CPU.

PS: last month my car was stolen too. :(
