I have downgraded to XP on a couple of VISTA notebooks and have ended back on VISTA after a week or so.

Why do you want to do it?

It sound like you are just having software/driver problems, it happens in any OS.

Why don't you just re-install Vista instead of downgrading to Xp.

Loading from cd should make no difference, you should have usb ports from the drivers on the Xp disk, is your version really old, maybe it did not install correctly.

So no wonder the INTEL chipset drivers will not work if it`s a ati 200m chipset.

ATI chipset drivers are included with the display drivers and are not separate.

So what graphic`s card do you have?

    • Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 with 8MB-256MB dynamically
    allocated shared graphics memory ,
This all it says about the graphics doesnt say anything about card, this is off of toshiba model content page ?
