Well i have got a new Toshiba sat pro a200 t2080 as a desktop replace so i'm not using the 17" lcd monitor i had. I was wondering if I could do dual screening? I've never done it before so not sure what is required. Can i just plug monitor into laptop like i'd do if i was using it as one and then just set to dual screen?

Of course you can, Vista should recognize the monitor right away.
