    Hi all,
I have an issue with my dvd drive. When it spins at full speed, the cpu usage increases to 100% constant, however when it stops spinning, the CPU % decreases to "normal" speed. That causes dvd movie playback to to slow down (slow motion, garbled audio). Same with playing songs in Winamp. Whenever the drive spins (even when copying a large file from it), audio quality goes down most likely because the computer is using 100% of its juice (explorer.exe takes it all).
I've noticed another thing, after reboot, the CPU usage is lower, dvd playback is less garbled, but after some time it's getting worse and the situation replies.
    I've tried:
Re-install sound card driver for now, no effect.

Anybody has a clue what has happened and how to fix it?
