    dvd ram drive problems on satellite m40

    it says drive is inaccessible when i open a few data dvds....most of the dvds working fine..just a few data dvds which work on other laptops not working on this...any solution??

    also i need the latest drivers for nvidia geforce 6600...where can i get this?? i got my laptop from india

    For your DVD-Drive, were those data DVDs burned or from a company? For your drivers: Nvidia doesn't give the greatest driver support (ATI is way, way better), but you might want to poke around driverheaven.

    burned dvds burnt int he same drive....some burnt dvds working fine others arnt...they were all burnt in the same format at 2x speed and using th same software...and they're working in other dvd players

    Were all the burnt DVDs written on your notebook, or someone elses? In addition, will the burnt DVDs that don't work in your drive, work in other drives?

    yup....burnt in my own dvd and they do work in other dvd players on my friends laptops

    :confused: You might have a faulty DVD drive - I'd get it checked and diagnosed by a Toshiba-Certified repair center.
