I bought a toshiba equium m40x before christmas thinking that its 60gb hdd would be big enough but now I need more storage.
I was wondering if a second hard drive could be installed in this laptop? i.e. in addition to the original 60 gig drive. Idealy giving me up to 180 gig.

Also i tried to use acronis partition expert to creat a second patition on my current HDD but it failed and now windows cannot see 12 gb of my hdd i.e. disk managment in administrative tools reports that the disk is 55.8gb but windows reports that disk capacity is 43.4gb any help in remeding this problem would be greatly appreciated.

It is unlikely you'll be able to put two drives in it. How about buying a new hard drive and a case for the old drive for more storage.
