    equium not working, help needed

    Hi, i bought another processor for my equium p200-178 so as soon as i got it i dismantled it, was not easy cause there are no guides how to do it but as i put everything back the screen stays black everything else seems to work i can hear the hard drive dvd, weird thing about the cpu fan it comes up for 2 seconds and stops moving. Any ideas ? please help, any ideas appreciated

    Are you sure you didn't damage anything? Open your laptop back up, and make sure you have 'locked the CPU in place'.

    If this doesn't work, install your old CPU back and see if that works. If it do, you may have a faulty CPU or your new CPU isin't supported by the system. Don't forget to flash lastests BIOS before upgrade guys!

    yes mate i made sure its in ''locked'' position, and i already had problem with switching it on before i even got to processor. Im pretty sure that the INTEL DUAL CORE MOBILE T2130 SL9VZ 1.86 1M 533Mhz is supported by the chipset which is Intel i943/940GML

    To rule out LCD problem, have you tried with an external monitor?

    yes i did try that, what someone else has suggested me on the other forum, i checked the ram and one of them wasnt fully plugged in and that was causing all the mess, stupid me, i should have checked that. Its working now, uff. But thanks for your help anyway.
