    Hi all

    I got U305-7477 one week ago. I like it except the heats and noise. I have used several different brand of laptop; this is my first time using Toshiba laptop.

    Usually the temperature of CPU is fluctuant from 51 to 70c
    But, I find the temperatures of CPU are very different.
    For example, when it is idle, the temperature sometimes keeps around 52c while it sometimes keeps only around 24-33c.

    When its temperature is keeping about 52c, the noise of fan’s speeding up is appearing very often, even I do not do anything, and the heats discharged like a hair drier.

    When its temperature is keeping about 24-33c, the fan is still running at lower speed. The heats discharged are almost cool.

    Honestly, the noise let me upset, especially at silent environment, for example, at library

    I can not find any ways that can control the fan speed, neither from BIOS nor from any software.

    So can anybody help me to solve the problem? Or offer some software that can change some setting.

    Thanks

    You can use RMclock or notebookhardwarecontrol to undervolt your cpu, and you will definitely see significant drops in temps.

    Thanks for your help
    if I undervolt the cpu, whether the performance of CPU will be decreased?

    Thanks

    ... I don't think you can undervolt the u305 with NHC or RMclock.... Since these two software don't work with my Toshiba u300 (t5450 & G965)

    No.
    But it can lead to a blue screen of death if the volt of the processors is too low, which could be
    fixed by a reboot..

    oops sorry;
    I tried again RMClock; And you can change the voltage in it, but I didn't succeed in NHC.

    thanks for your help

    I install RMclock, but I find area of adjusting voltage is gray, I cannot make a change. do I need to regisiter the softeware in order to change the voltage?

    Thanks again

    In RMClock;
    click on Profiles; you would be able to change the voltage.

    Thanks for your help

    I did set the voltage to 1.18 which can let cpu keep running steady.

    however, the temperature of CPU is still keep around 52c

    I find that the temperature of cpu can keep around 35c if you let the latop idle since start up. then, If I run some softwares, the temperature increased to about 52 or more.
    but the temperaure cannot go down even if I let the laptop idle again, and the noise of CPU fan still appaear frequently.

    I feel that the temperature control has some wrong.

    if I cannot make it better, I maybe return it.
