    I had upgraded cpu from 1.5G(banias) to 1.7G(dothan 735) to my Toshiba M30 .
But the cpu frequency always run at 600MHz.
I have tried the setting in power saver and my BIOS is the lateset(V1.7).
I don't know what's wrong with the situation.
    Somebody help me !! thanks!

Did you check for BIOS support before upgrading the cpu? Has anyone else been able to upgrade on the M30 or were there any other versions of the M30 with stock Dothans?.

Banias to Dothan upgrades always require BIOS support for it to work. Seems like in your case it does not support it.

EDIT: Try a utility like NHC or RM Clock and set the multiplier and voltages manually and see if ou can get it to work at its highest multiplier. In some cases these upgrades tend to break the Speedstep process which can be easily olved by using either of the above programs.

I don't know weather BIOS support or not. But M30 have one model that use 735, and its BIOS is the same as mine on the toshiba website.
And I had tried RM clock, but I can't check "Use P-State Transitions", it's a grey area.

Does the BIOS recognise the processor correctly?

Try using CPU-Z and see wht it reports back CPU as. At this point since there are no advanced settings in the BIOS, you are left with trying to see if it is an issue with Windows. If RM Clock doesnt work, they give Crystal CPUID or NHC a shot. They basically do the same thing as RM.

Also set your power scheme from the Toshiba thing to "Always On" and then check the cpu speeds.

If this doesnt work then well I gues you will have to try checking up with Toshiba and see if their BIOS does support the Dothans.

Yes, CPU-Z can recognise the CPU correctly, but the multipler is always at 6.0.
And I have set the power scheme "Always ON", still not work!!
The service of Toshiba in Taiwan is suck, they said they don't agree user upgrade the cpu, so they can't give me any support!!
My friend said this situation is that Toshiba lock the multipler in BIOS, so my NB never support Dothans, is that possible??

Hmm...Seems like your friend might be correct. Without any options in the BIOS and with RM Clock not working, I suspect that it wont go above 6x.

If you are willing to try, you might as well try reinstalling Windows and see if this works. or you could try installing a Linux distro and see if linux can set the proper multiplier.
