I just bought a u305 with vista home premium pre-installed. from start-->contral panel-->back and restore center, I found, there is no "back up computer" function in my laptop. how can I make this function enable?

Because you have windows vista home premium, you cannot create a "Complete PC Backup" disk image through the Backup and Restore Center. Complete PC backup is only available on Windows Vista Business and Windows Vista Ultimate.

You'll have to buy a separate program like Norton Save and Restore or Acronis True Image in order to create a system image.

Quick Question, Did your computer come with a recovery DVD or were you prompted to create one upon first boot? You could always use that in the event of an emergency.
