    hi guys new toshiba a85-s107 problem

    hi anyone here kind enough to help or comment. im a laptop reseller in philippines. my new stocks arrive just today thats why i made a thread asking which is better a85's or m30 anyway to cut the story short it arrived just in time but i was really excited to see the unit and was amazed for the price its really worth what my customer will pay for anyway i turned it on no problem at all this is my first a85 on hand so i tried everything for me to tell customers about it i tried wifi connections check the specs etc etc and i think of playing a audio cd but i cant hear no nothing all the mute's are off the volume i put in highest volume but still here nothing i followed the help icon but no sound at all hope a friend here could help thanks.... to founders and moderators of nr.com ever since i discovered your site through a friend helped me alot now im confident to what i will import because of reviews etc etc

    Just some things to try:

    1. Are the drivers installed correctly. Look in Device Manager and see.
    2. Check to see if the audio works using headphones
    3. I believe the Toshiba's have a volume knob on the unit (maybe front right corner) see if it's adjusted correctly
    4. Reload the auido drivers/OS (OS as a last resort)

    My best bet would be item #3 as most people miss the volume knob (not may manufacturers use physical knobs these days, usually it's controlled digitally/push button).
