I have recently purchased a mini-PCI wireless card and want to install it in a Tecra S1. Does anyone have some info on how to open one of these up. My Satellite had an easy access panel on the bottom of it, but no such luck for the Tecra. I guess its under the keyboard. Any help would be appreciated.

To get access to the WiFi card/slot for this unit, you literally need to take apart your entire upper half of the notebook. It's located under the left palm rest. I wouldn't recommend doing that unless you know what you're doing. There's approx 13 latchs holding the palm rest down, not to mention all the screws. This will guaranteed void your warranty. Also if you're not careful, you could snap the top cover/palm rest & that will be an EXPENSIVE replacement part.
