First, I just want to say I am sorta of a Toshiba fan-- not sure why, just had good experience with past Toshibas so I am trying to find a Toshiba that can play diablo 3 on good settings without breaking the bank. I also own some Toshiba stock-- lol.
Would either of these laptops work for diablo 3? here are the two i've been looking at-- i sorta prefer the first one because it's a bit smaller and not such a brick-- and anyone have imput about the Qosmio line? And is i5 vs i7 that important? or do i just need to worry about ram/graphics card? thanks!!!
i've been reading around and i cant find out if either of these is good enough to run diablo 3-- any imput would be much appreciated!!

If you use to playing game. I think you can choose Inter core i7. Becaue it run fast with height software

First off I'll start by saying both should be able to play Diablo 3 [Satellite on low to medium graphics settings], [Qosmio on High graphics settings].
The Qosmio can play on high graphics settings because the Qosmio line is Toshiba's flagship gaming laptops and they come with high end graphics cards. Although the CPU of the Qosmio is only a dual-core [satellite has a quad], for most games it is the GPU that is the limiting factor. The GTX 560m GPU is much better than the GT 540m class. [GT X >>> GT]
When it comes to the i5 vs i7 CPU, the i7 will get better performance in games, but the i5 should only be marginally slower in games. However, while the i5 is slower, it is the GPU that still has the biggest contributing factor to gaming.
See these links to compare GPUs:
GT 540m: NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M - Notebookcheck.net Tech
GTX 560m: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M - Notebookcheck.net Tech
GTX 670m [comes with new Qosmio mentioned below]: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M - Notebookcheck.net Tech
To give a crude estimate of the differences of the above GPUs, here's some game benchmarks of Skyrim taken form the above links:
GT 540m
If you decided to go with the Qosmio, I would wait a month or so; as the new Intel Ivy Bridge CPUs and the new nvidia/AMD GPUs will launch in a matter of weeks. As this new technology releases, Toshiba will also be releasing the new Qosmio x870 that will include a new GTX 670m GPU [the 670m is a very highend GPU]. Similar to the x775, the x870 should come in different flavors: lower end models with 1600x900 screen and i5-dual core; and highend models with 1920x1080p 3D screens and i7-quadcore.
The Ivy Bridge CPU and the GTX 670m in the x870 will be superior to the 2 laptops you mentioned.

Other gaming laptop brands worth considering are: Alienware [by Dell], ASUS G-series, HP ENVY series, SAGER/CLEVO brands, Samsung Series 7 Gamer, MSI GT Class gaming laptops, and a few others.

Good luck -
I would honestly look elsewhere.
I much like yourself was a Toshiba fan having had great experiences with them in the past but the company simply is not what it once was.
Toshibas build quality and durability is poor especialy on the Qosmio range being at the price point it is and the standard of customer service from them is virtually non existent if something does go wrong.
I would take a closer look at the just released Asus G75 if I was you. Not sure if they have produced a G55. -
The new ASUS-G75 only has a GTX 660m [Qosmio has GTX 670m], and I would argue the build quality differences between Toshiba and ASUS are marginal at best.

All that adds is more heat to a series that is becoming notorious for overheating issues.
Unless Toshiba have radically changed the cooling solutions and are actually going to provide more than 1 GPU driver set then I still stand by going with another brand.
To me the 870 looks to have went even more slimline though and personally I can see heat being even more of an issue than it was in the x500, x505 and x770's -
For the price paid, my x775 has been very good, the G75 is a bit more so I would forgo that and head over to Clevo or MSI.
how will these toshibas do with Diablo 3?? please help!
