I downloaded iTunes 7.5 and plugged in my four-year-old iPod Mini 4 GB via the USB 2.0 port. Vista said driver installation for the iPod failed. iTunes never acknowledged it and the iPod doesn't show up in My Computer.

Is this iPod just too old to run under Vista?

Ipods are difficult to install period. I had trouble with my 4gb second generation and I had difficulty installing last years 30GB unit. Reset it and try again. Eventually it worked.
