    hello all,
    im just curious if its possible to somehow change my GTS 360M for a GTX 460M ... if its possible could you please tell me where would i be able to get one ? ive tried ebay but to no avail...

    Nope, not unless you're will to do massive internal surgery on your laptop.

    ive already taken it apart once so that shouldnt be a problem... so it is possible?
    and where would i go about getting an actual gtx 460m ? also, would i need a new heatsink ?

    It is possible. Between different submodels of X50x definitely (I believe they used MXM 3.0 Type A, but Toshiba may have altered it somehow).

    You may need a new heatsink, that depends on how different your new card will be. Toshiba sadly lacking in documentation department there. Trying is the only option.

    Getting hold of new VGA board part may be the hardest. Even standard MXM 3.0A 460M now is almost non-existant in sales (though barebone manufacturers like Clevo and Sager are worth inquiring about it).
    If standard MXM will not work, you will need exact Toshiba board (and heatsink maybe too). Toshiba does not sell its parts to general public, so go figure...

    Ingvarr has it right. To try it out is your only option. But, if you need something, parts/documatation from Toshiba don't even think about it. Support over there sucks, really.

    i would be happy to try it... i have a friend in a toshiba service center in logistics so maybe hell be able to help me get what i need... if not ill just have to keep my eye on ebay i guess.
