    littledonny you're so right with the middle tab marked recording, it fixed my sound problem after sleep mode. Not even the toshiba tech guys could help me with this issue, I hope counterstruck tried it too. At first I thought you were pulling my leg,so I didn't bother trying it, then I tried using the recovery disk and putting it to sleep mode again, woke up the lap top and no sound from the four speakers on top, only sound was coming from the subwoofer. I thought about what you said about going to control panel>sound>and clicking on the middle tab which is marked recording and instantly, while my song was playing the top speakers kicked in. I don't know how you found that out but I think this is common in this particular notebook so it would be helpful for everyone who owns one to know this information. thanks a million!
