Hey everyone, my friend just bought a m105-s1021 laptop for a good deal because it is locked with a password. When you power on the laptop the bios shows up and then a screen appears and asks you for password. Is their any possible way to remove password with software or will it have to be hardware related. Will removing cmos battery work? Please let me know guys, any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Due to security concerns regarding stolen notebooks, NBR cannot allow discussions of this nature. Please contact the manufacturer for assistance in this matter, as they will need to verify that you purchased the notebook and are now the actual owner of the machine. Even then, they will probably ask you to send it in to reset.
No, removing the CMOS battery will not work. BIOS passwords (and possibly other variables controlled by BIOS) are stored in non-volatile (static) flash.
