The fan in my m15-s405 always used to be quiet but over the last month or two it has started to make a vibrating noise, almost like the fan is running up against a wire. I kinda doubt that this is the case because I think Toshiba would be smarter but I do still worry about either that or the fan starting to die (the laptop is almost 2 years old). Do any of you have any clue on what this could be and what I can do to try to fix it. It is getting pretty annoying honestly and I am a bit worried about the fan just dying on me (I do think it is running more than it used to but I may have just not noticed it running in the past). Thanks!

the fan is a moving part and, as such, is more likely to fail than many other components on a computer. Hopefully your notebook is still under warranty, and if so you should contact Toshiba about this issue and they will absolutely be required to offer your shipping the notebook in to have the fan looked at.
