    Hey there
I own an M40 (Ca version with geforce 6600) and during the past few months, I've been experiencing shutdowns during graphic intense games like F.E.A.R, Topspin 2, battlefield 2, and recently tomb raider legend. I reckon its an overheating issue since my laptop feels hot during the shutdown and it can turn back on only after about 30 secs.

Is there any solution to that problem? Im not too willing to open up my laptop.. for the moment.

    Thanks!

A laptop cooler might be the solution to getting the temperature down to more manageable levels.

Is your fan clean? I'd recommend a quick read-through of the cooling guide.
