I have recently purchased an m60 fully loaded with a gig of ram(1 gb x1), 2 ghz processor, xp pro, 17" sxga/Trubrite(1680x1050), ati x600, 80 gb hdd (5400) and abg wireless all for around 1600 usd. Comparing this to the specs for the g25-av513
I feel I did well everywhere except in the hard drive capacity. My reasons for getting the m60 was its battery life 3 to 3 1/2 hours in windows, its price, and its weight( I didn't want to carry around a 9 1/2 pound monster.). So did I make the right decision or did i screw myself over?

Well the go6600 is also better than the x600. The go6600 is on par with the x700. And yes, except for the hard drive lol. 120GB is a lot lol!

I'd also say the Qosmio has better overall build quality than the M60, as well as some nice speakers. In addition, the Qosmio sports XP MCE, along with the built in Qosmio engine to refine TV signals from the built-in TV tuner. The Qosmio also has an Ultimate TruBrite display - currently the brightest on the entire notebook market, which can easily outclass a Fujistu or Sony screen. However, the M60 is cheaper than the Qosmio and has a built-in numeric keypad - something the Qosmio doesn't have.

the m60 suits my needs. i dont watch tv on my laptop, i do that on my desktop right next to me :D its got decent battery life, relatively light for its weight, ligher than the quosmio, good enough screen, and i have external speakers.

but i will be getting a new laptop in a few months with the merom cpu, alongside amdvsintel.

The screen and speakers on the M60 aren't too shaby, especially if you get the Harmon/Kardons and the TruBrite display. I really wish that Toshiba gave the Harmon/Kardon's their Woofer back - it really helps sound output. My Satellite has a Woofer, but my dad's Qosmio doesn't.
