What is the maximum cpu I can install in my toshiba satelite a305_s6825 laptop? Currently has 965 chipset with t5550 cpu ....bios version 1.8....I'm looking to install a penryn cpu t9500.my mobo supports the 800mhz fsb and I alfready have 2 2gb ddr2 800mhz ram. Both cpus are socket p so I know it will fit .....but will it work and\or has anyone succesfully upgraded this model or 1 like it to a penryn 2.6ghz cpu? I've looked all over this forum and others and have yet to find a clear answer. Any help would be extremely appreciated...thanks.

Usually you can upgrade to the highest CPU that the chipset does support.
But be aware! Higher clocks+voltage= more heat!
In some cases a cpu cant be upgraded because the BIOS doesnt allow it. But this is not your case.
