    hello.

i wanted to do a fresh installation of windows xp on my m40sf3. i was wondering how i would go about doing that? mine didnt seem to come with a xp cd or anything. also, would using windows system restore be the same as doing a new installation (assuming i delete all newer points)?

No, system restore just backs up to a previously set restore point. It wont delete any of the software that came preinstalled.

If you want to do a fresh install of Win XP, you"ll need a XP disc and perform a full re-installation of the OS. The Toshiba recovery utlities and/or DVD will only restore it to the factory state with all of the preinstalled software.
