    Any who know where i can buy a motherboard for my laptop Toshiba satellite L40

    I'd start with Ebay and see what I could find there. You could also give Toshiba a call and they should be able to point you in the right direction.

    I don't know where you're located, but there is a company called Richards Computer with locations here in Atlanta as well as Miami, Dallas and Fairfax, VA. They are a Toshiba warranty service provider and every person I've ever dealt with there (on the phone or in person) has been more than willing to help out in any way they can.

    Before you go through with this repair, have you considered whether it's worth the expense vs. buying a new machine?
