I just bought a toshiba 205 from office depot that was used for a display model, and since I am not familiar with vista os my question is.
How can I change the owners name from OD (office depot) to my own name?
I know how to do it while using win XP but vista has me scratching my head.

You would need to edit the registry if you feel comfortable playing withthe registry, so backup the registry if you do before making any changes the settings are under: under HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version , look for registered owner and registered organization keys, the right click on the key and select modify make your changesand exitthe registry and reboot.
