    Question :

what is your comment about the above mentioned specs ?
when i bought that notebook, i thought the processor is Pentium Sonoma, am i correct ?
Can I upgrade my RAM to DDR2 instead of DDR ?

The M45 was a good Toshiba Satellite line - it marked the beginning of Toshiba's road to recovery build-quality wise. However, I don't like the IGP it comes with, the GMA 900 - it can't do anything intense (no newer games and graphic work won't be an option either). Since your model is a Sonoma one (915 chipset), you'll be able to have DDR2 RAM.

What is the reason they put DDR RAM, if the chipset support for DDR2. price ?

If I can swap to DDR2, how can I do that? do I need to change the slot, or just put the new DDR2 in the old slot.

I'm not really sure why Toshiba would do something like that - DDR is almost the same price as DDR2 RAM is. You can pick up any DDR2 RAM sticks and put them into your RAM slots as is and should work. Be sure to get the same brand/size for maximum performance.
