Well, where are you in the first place? Do you have Vista on it?

If you know what you're doing, and have your personal stuff backed up, here it is in a nutshell, regardless of what's on there :D:
    1. Download Gparted LiveCD .iso
    2. Burn that image to a CD (use BurnCDCC or such)
    3. Boot from the CD (either you'll have a button you can press during the BIOS startup to get to a boot menu or you will need to change your boot order in your BIOS so your CD drive comes first)
    4. Delete all partitions (you have to apply your changes before the actually happen)
    5. Create a new NTFS partition spanning whole drive
    6. Grab your XP CD, boot from it, follow the installation instructions
    7. Done, happy XP (now install your drivers! :D)

Feel free to ask questions. :)
