    hey whats up guys? im just here trying to format this lappy that i have but there is one problem..... when i put the xp cd in there it wont let me format it says that the hard drive its not there so im wondering ... is there a hard drive protection on this thing and if there is where can i find it to uninstall it or what could be the problem thanks

    Most likely you need to change from AHCI mode in the BIOS to compatibility mode , then Xp will see your HDD.

    As Xp is not compatible with AHCI without additional driver`s that you need to install, normally when Xp is installed by pressing F6 and having the AHCI drivers on a Floppy Disk or USB memory stick.
