My daughter has a white T135 that I bought from an online seller, I have a slightly different submodel of T135 that I bought through BestBuy. Mine works great but hers has always had a problem with the touchpad that makes it very frustrating to use. Basically when you touch the touchpad it makes the curser jump a long distance on the screen before you even move your finger, such as moving the cursor from the bottom of the screen to the top of the screen. I think she has tried different touchpad drivers but now she thinks it is a problem with the hardware and she wants to send it in for touchpad replacement. This machine is out of warranty so she is wondering how much it would cost to have the touchpad replaced. Any other suggestions are welcome too.

And BTW, my wife has a slightly older Toshiba laptop, a 12" model, and she always uses it with a mouse no matter if she is just sitting on the sofa using it. I use mine both ways, depending on where I am. My daughter refuses to use a mouse for surfing on the sofa.

I would try to tweak the Synaptics settings in the Control Panel. The sensitivity could be set to high.
