    i need to pull the mb on this to replace the dc jack but would pefer a service manual first so i know atleast somewhat how it goes back together. also wheres a good place to get dc jacks for these?

    I have the exact same issue with the exact same model. Did you have success in replacing the AC jack on the MB? (I assume you meant AC).

    I have a definite short or something as the laptop will not charge or run off AC unless the wire is pulled at some exact angle I can rarely attain.

    not a short, just the contact is broken. you could probably just open it up and re solder it.
