    Hi,
I have U400-112 with broken screen. I must buy new one, but original screen for U400 is little bit expensive. I have looked on ebay for new screen and there is few acceptable option but from other brand.
Can I use any other 13,3" screen (from sony vaio/apple/LG/Dell...)?
Can I use old inverter or I need new inverter with new screen?

    Thanks.

The screens I understand are not interchangeable between brands, but within the same manufacturer they might be.

As far as your inverter is concerned, it would depend on what you mean by "broken". Is the screen dark, but you can see an image? Is the screen physically cracked? Are you leaking liquid crystal around the edges?

so I can't use screen for example from Sony Vaio VGN-S5N 13,3" WXGA (manufacturer is Toshiba)?
My screen is after light bump, but I can see picture only in the corner. So inverter should be ok, right?
