    Hello

With my desktop, I would often leave the computer turned on for hours while doing other things. During that time, I would turn the monitor off and leave the PC running.

How do I do the same with my laptop? I would like to turn off the monitor but leave the laptop running.

    This is a Toshiba laptop.

    Thanks

Just right click the desktop and set the screen saver to go off every 1-5 minutes when you're not using it. You can have the screen actually turn off by playing around with the Toshiba Power settings in the Control Pannel.

Do you want the screen actually closed, or just off but open

    Hello

The only way I found to do this was to press "Fn-f5" a few times. This sends the image to an external monitor. The external monitor is turned off. So the laptop is running but I get no image, which is what I wanted.

I guess there is no other solution. Strange that there is no power button for the laptop monitor...
