    1) i got the pentium dual core cpu in my satellite...would disabling a core in the bios provide better battery life thus keeping my computer cooler?

2)what's the purpose of "dynamic cpu freqency mode" and should i keep it on "always low" or "dynamically switchable?"

    thanks!

1)I do not know, but you could undervolt it to make it cooler. I suggest you use RMClock or NHC which is more user friendly.

2)dynamically switchable is when the processor underclocks by increments if the cpu is not being used. It is like power on demand.

I would not bother as the cpu throtles down to slower speeds automticaly save power when you are not playing games or using any appz that require the cpu power.

If you really want battery life, then go and purchase a 9-cell battery. It will let you stay for couple of hours more.
