I have a satellite 5205. The display glows pink instead of white when it first turns on. It goes white after about 10 seconds. Is this an indication that there is a problem?

I am curious to see the responses to this. Sometimes I see this same problem on the system I support at work - its using an Nvidia graphics card. No other problems - just a segmented pink screen for a few seconds...

Mine isn't segmented. It is as if the backlight is pink, but returns to a normal shade of white after a few seconds.

The backlight or inverter is bad. The backlight is like a mini flourescent can suffer from the same problems (off-color, poor start times, sudden death etc.)
