Eyeing on x205-S9810 and here are my questions:

How much battery life would be expected from this notebook and at what settings?

Does this computer come with a Vista clean install disc? (If it doesn't, how do i get a clean install without buying another vista disc)

How is customer support with Toshiba with "system guard + 2nd/3rd Year Extended Service Plan"...is it good? (and please tell me if it does include on-site service? If it doesn't include on-site, where can i get it?)

No, Toshiba, like most manufacturers ship their laptops only with recovery discs that have all the bloatware pre-installed. You will have to delete the software you don't need manually, maybe defrag the hdd and the registry and run ccleaner. You can't do a clean install though.

I used to have a 17" Toshiba laptop that was about the same calibre as this about 3 years ago (it was called the M60), and had all the bells and whistles in terms of specs (vid card etc).

On typical usage, I usually got between 2-3 hours. That wasn't using power saver mode so I guess if you turn everything down to low, maybe a little longer. But don't expect it to play a whole DVD, because it won't.

can't really say about battery life... i have an X205-SLi3 which has 2 video cards and a CPU that consumes more power, and if i set the power plan to balanced i get maybe 90 minutes of battery life. i would guess that 2 hours should be the minimum, maybe more with tweaks... hopefully someone with the model you are looking at can chime in

90 minutes on that laptop? i doubt it, if it was a 9 cell, then maybe but if its a 6 cell, expect about 45mins to 1 hour battery life tops on lowest brightness

Well i get around 90 minutes if i set the power scheme to power saver and dip the brightness to it's lowest level... I don't see why the SLi3 won't archive the same battery time...
