Go here
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_home.jsp
hit the tech support center
click portables, your machine, then go.
click downloads
click your operating system, click sound on category, click apply filter
click the little floppy icon to the right of audio driver just under download.
follow the instructions

One more thing...it's best to save to the desktop then open from there. -
Actually I already tried that. Every model except protege m300 has loads of drivers to download. But surprisingly there is no driver download for protege 300. There are only 7 downloads available for protege m300 on the toshiba site. 3 of them are bios updates, 2 of them are windows skin and 2 of them are modem manuals. Its strage, isnt it? Is protege m300 similar to any other model? Maybe I should download drivers for other models like m200 or m400 and see if it works? any advice?

I'd run the product tour and find the one that matches yours the best and try that one first.
That it is odd that Toshiba offers so much on all the rest the models but not that one.

Chicken I don't think the tours there as well, however looking at the specs sheet it looks like the m400 uses the same driver.

I tried installing both the protege m200 and m400 sound driver on my m300 laptop. But unfortunately, I get a "this system does not support the driver you are attempting to install" error.Any ideas? Is there no way to figure out what sound driver you need?
please help me with protege m300 sound driver!!!
