hey everyone
im looking on here for some advice, im new to the toshiba laptops and i have an issue with one that im working on.
the problem would seem pretty straitforward but its rather odd, so ...
the computer is a toshiba a105-s2091 the problem is that i am getting a faint ticking sound from the motherboard.
now heres the strange part
i have completely disassembled the computer and there is nothing on the board except for the processor(ie, no fans no moving parts no nothing) and i just tested the power cord and its putting out 19v just like its suposed to
im just wondering if this thing is a lost cause or not
thanks

ticking... good thing its not vibrating. Modern bombs don't tick. They vibrate. Of course 9 times out of 10 its a razor or a vibrator...
ok, in all seriousness, I've had two toshibas and neither clicked. Actually, hardrives click pretty bad when they fail. The only other things that might click are the fan (my bet) or a small relay somewhere on the board. -
Maybe you might be talking about the Intel's CPU whine
Go on YouTube and type in cpu whine or something and you will hear an example -
i just went there and no its not that
its a faint clicking sound its very faint but it happens and the computer will not turn on -
hey does anyone know where i can get a new motherboard for this computer?
