    hey all,

has anyone ever had one of these track pads with the blue back light (touch the top right corner of the pad and it lights up and the build in buttons on the track pad become usable while the mouse cursor function is disabled while lit up), and had it stop being able to be turned on?

I found in the mouse settings how to turn on the blue light when i plug in an external mouse but the buttons dont work (even the unassigned ones you can choose what they do), the only part of the pad that seems to function is the volume slider...

i have had this issue for about 3 months... I have hardly used the pad since I use a external mouse...

any ideas on what I can do?

Maybe the software turns off Tap to Click when you plug in the external mouse. If Tap to Click is disabled, then you can't use the quick launch things embedded in the touchpad, as it will not activate by tapping. That is how it is with mine (has the same one).
