    qosmio x300 Gpu overheating???

    has anyone had any gpu overheating on there x300 while playing a game for like 5 minutes and then shutdown? is there a way this can be resolved? plz help thanx :(

    is there a certain type of thermal paste to use? maybe a tutorial on how doing it lol i remember someone posted am exstra fan mod also in the x300 but cant find it anywere thanx for the reply|!!

    Could be that dust is clogging the fan intakes on the bottom of the notebook and on the fan blades. Make sure that those intakes get good air flow to them.

    Tuniq mx3 and arctic silver 5 are good ones. the factory default is a thermal grease with thermal pads. If you are getting hot enough to trigger shutdowns chances are your thermal pads have turned mushy. I think most people substitut thermal interface material for the thermal pads when they re-install TIM.
