I have a toshiba m55 satellite laptop which is like 4 years old. Was working fine until a few days back i started getting these error messages at startup after the TOSHIBA logo is displayed. Seems to be a common issue over the Internet, but there is no universal solution

The error messages I get are

    Mouse initialized

Resource Conflict - PCI on Motherboard
Resource Conflict - PCI Mass Storage Controller and Serial Bus Controller on Mother Board

It says press F1 to continue and F2 to go setup. Pressing F1 for 99/100 times will not resume. may be 1 time it will. So i just have to keep restarting the laptop until it boots XP through which is very annoying.

Even windows seems to detect 3 different controllers. I HAVEN'T installed any new hardware on my system. i dont know where they came from. I tried uninstalling those 3 devices but that never helped. The next time I boot my system xp detects them. Also my media card doesn't work now

Anybody encountered a similar issue ?
